Relaunch of Energy Solutions: A Strong Network for a Greener and Electrified Europe

Energy Solutions – a cross-party and cross-industry network – is being relaunched in collaboration with Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) and Green Power Denmark. The network aims to serve as a unifying platform within the European Parliament, working towards a green and electrified future for Europe. The first official meeting will take place on April 8 with Energy Commissioner Dan Jørgensen.

The newly appointed leadership was confirmed in Strasbourg and comprises an experienced and crossparty team: Chair Niels Fuglsang (S&D), Vice-Chair Anna Stürgkh (Renew), and Vice-Chair Sean Kelly (EPP).

A Platform for Europe’s Key Energy Decisions

Energy Solutions seeks to unite political groups in the European Parliament around energy policy agendas at a crucial moment, when energy security and cheap green energy is important for the citizens of Europe.

Niels Fuglsang states: “With Energy Solutions, we have a unique opportunity to bring the Parliament together across countries and party lines. We share a common goal: to accelerate Europe’s transition from fossil fuels to green, secure, and competitive energy.”

The network will be a strong voice for a greener, more electrified, and energy-independent Europe. It will advocate for reducing reliance on imported fossil fuels, strengthening Europe’s competitiveness, and promoting renewable energy production across the continent.

Fuglsang adds: “In today’s critical geopolitical and energy context, we urgently need cooperation that can help us become independent from fossil fuel imports. I am confident that this group brings the right expertise and political weight to deliver real impact.”

Energy Solutions will focus on:

  • Green, competitive, and European-produced energy
  • Rapid phase-out of fossil fuels
  • Secure energy supply free of fossil dependence
  • Investment in electrification-supporting infrastructure
  • Increased renewable energy share and greater energy efficiency

The network looks forward to taking concrete steps toward shaping Europe’s green future.
